Can Yoga Help Heal Bone on Bone Hip Osteoarthritis?
People often try yoga to help heal hip arthritis.
And they'll do this because yoga is often seen as an ancient form of exercise or stretching with some sort of vague wisdom that can help heal many body ailments.
Most people feel great overall in their body after doing yoga... even to the point where body pain has gone away.
But the effects tend to be short-term. When it comes to healing hip osteoarthritis for the long-term, a few key factors are needed to make sure to make consistent gradual improvements.
Yoga does not have all the key factors. Check out the video to get all the details.

    2 years ago I couldn't walk because of sciatica pain. My friend got me a hula hoop and it saved my life. I still have flair ups if I lift without stretching. Someone had to carry me out of my shop last Saturday and I could barely drive myself home. I got home and pushed thru the pain doing my hula hoop. By evening I was almost back to normal.

    Hi thanks, I tore my roator cuff left shoulder 2 years ago, through your help, it has healed, and the pillow technic works along with the excercises you recommended. I have an ongoing problem with the back of my shoulder, just underneath it really hurts and can be restrictive in movement, sharp pain. My physio tells me its the rotator cuff ligament under the shoulder as recently fractured my T8 vertbrae which has gone into a wedge, but healing according to xrays. Left right now with more pain from the liagment feels like just below shoulder blade? PLEASE HELP? Kind regards, Mary from UK. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿❤

    I turned the feet 5-7 to the side from straight ahead and was able bike 50 % farther immediately. Patellofemoral pain with a mending gluteal amnesia. I feel my glutes working automatically with higher effort like climbing but do also squeeze each cheek as I push down on the pedal. 31 km meant that I had spent my outer glutes. So more endurance is needed. Last year I felt pain on my longest ride of 20 km without the glutes activating automatically. I have done strength and activating exercises for the glutes for a year.

      @epmanualphysicaltherapy 12 часов назад

      Hi Akashtiwari, We are so sorry your mother is suffering with severe pain due to arthritis. We have a knee arthritis help playlist she might find helpful. You can check it out here: “Knee Arthritis Help” ruclips.net/p/PLJVIPiFvv1maa9YF-WmKLF7oI4VoczH8i Start with one or two exercises, beginning with the smallest range of motion and the lowest intensity. As she feels stronger, she can gradually increase both the range of motion and intensity. It’s best to do these exercises every day throughout the day. Aim to tire out the muscle without losing form or control. Consistency is key. Always avoid working through pain; soreness and mild discomfort are normal, but pain is not. We wish you and your mother all the best on her road to recovery. Please take care! 🧡

    Thank you for your excellent videos. As a 67 yr old dance teacher I can relate to most of them. My orthopedic PA already did one steroid injection into my (good) knee and after 3 months, my first of 3 Synvisc injections. Please, before I go back for that second injection - I want to know if it’s the correct thing to do. I can’t afford an MRI right now and I’m having a hard time diagnosing my knee even with your excellent videos. It’s gravel-like feeling at the top inner side where the patella moves up and over when I bend it. If I put my finger in that space it feels rough. I have a valgus situation going on with both knees but no outward swelling. The main thing that hurts is stepping down a stair. I can back down stairs okay. Going up hurts too. I wish I could see you but I’m in TN. Any advice on knowing how to proceed. With much appreciation- Marci M

    Hi. Thank you. I have a Physio via the NHS in the UK. They told me to do the neck tuck (double chin) exercise. But that didn't help. What they left out was the looking down part. For myself, THIS was the exercise I so desperately needed. I've been doing the exercise they gave me, but it wasn't doing anything, at all. I have an appointment tomorrow with my physio. I'm going to speak to them about this movement. I made the appointment, because what they gave me wasn't working. In fact, I came across your video because I was in a bad way just moments ago. I have had my allocation of medication, both orally and topically. I have had my 20 minutes of hot press. I had tried resting in bed. In fact, I was close to tears because of it. So whilst I had a cold compress on my neck, I came across your video. I had nothing to lose. So I tried the modification to my existing schedule. Honestly, I'm going to give you some money, when I'm next able to. The looking down part, whilst tucking in the neck. Wow. I felt almost immediate relief. Albeit temporary. Then on the way back up, it didn't hurt, more strange than anything. It was uncomfortable, but only because of all the tension that was present. It really highlighted just how unbalanced my muscles are around my neck. And because of that unbalance, it was causing my muscles to become really right, and really constrictive, which only adds to the compression, which, obviously in turn causes pain, and causes my muscles to tighten even more in a vicious circle. I've just done 10 reps. And it's made the world of a difference. It's totally loosened up those muscles. I was getting grinding noises every time I turned my head. I can't believe they are gone. Just like that. I'm stilling getting the squishy bubbly noises, but not as severe. But the grinding. Has gone. The tension. Has gone. I don't feel like I'm going to cry. And I will be doing this every hour or so. The shoulder shrugs, well, they are for the future. I will doing them once day, as you've shown me I have a very severe muscle imbalance. My own fault. Terrible posture, when sitting, and when sleeping. For decades really. But I can't believe those awful, awful grinding noises, have gone. You do realise you've probably saved me from severe neck arthritis. Because all that tension would be crushing my vertebrae, and will cause bone spurs to form. That's what that grinding noises were. I tried to do a few more, but my neck is tired, and I don't want to inflame my neck any more than it was already. But that tiredness is a good thing. I know this is a rather long post. And God help anyone reading. But when I say I was in a bad way, I really mean it. I was at the point where I just wanting to curl up. You get my drift. Wondering how long I would have to be waiting for surgery, and if it would help. And all the other issues that come with that. Not to mention all the possible issues from surgery. And it was another 4-5 hours before I could take some more pain killers. Yet here I am, my pain has gone from a 8/9 out 10, to a 3/4 out of 10. And no crunching. No grinding. I totally understand why that guy gave you $100. If I had it to spare, I would, and be grateful for it. And if he was anything like me, I can only imagine his relief. See, not only have you given me the gift of being relatively pain free, but the gift of hope. And that is priceless.
